Implementation Year: 2024

Scope of Work:

  • Concept & messaging development

  • On-ground workshop execution

  • Content creation & media support

Project Objectives

Honda Vietnam set out to advance its long-standing commitment to road safety by hosting an immersive riding skills workshop. The initiative targeted both new and experienced motorcyclists, aiming to deliver a realistic, hands-on training experience while reinforcing Honda’s leadership in rider education and safety innovation.

Our Approach

We developed a comprehensive communication and experience design strategy based on three key pillars:

1. Strong, Relatable Messaging Design

  • Developed the campaign’s core message:
“Honda Rider Education – For Safer, More Confident Riding”

  • Adopted a striking black-orange visual identity, symbolizing energy, power, and technical precision

  • Deployed authentic action-based photography to evoke trust and capture the intensity of on-track practice

2. Professional, Track-Based Riding Experience

  • Simulated real-world riding conditions: tight curves, obstacle avoidance, emergency braking, and more

  • Each participant received full protective gear and personalized guidance from certified Honda instructors

  • Modular workshop design tailored to multiple skill levels, ensuring inclusivity and progression

Basic Riding Skills

  • Focused on foundational competencies:

    • Proper posture and turning techniques

    • Panic braking

    • Balance and control drills

  • Designed as a launchpad for newcomers to safely handle large-displacement motorcycles

Advanced Riding Skills

  • Catered to experienced bikers seeking performance growth

  • Featured challenging practice elements: obstacle courses, time-based drills, and peer competitions

  • Aimed at pushing physical and mental boundaries under structured, professional conditions

Results & Impact

  • Participants reported a 95% satisfaction rate, with many highlighting real improvements in confidence and safety

  • The campaign helped solidify Honda’s thought leadership in motorcycle safety across Vietnam

Conclusion

The Honda Riding Skills Workshop 2024 showcased how strategic messaging, experiential training, and digital storytelling can combine to foster real behavioral change. Whether equipping beginners with essential skills or challenging experienced bikers to level up, the project underlines Honda’s unwavering commitment to building a safer and more skilled riding community.
